Announcing the "I'm a Better Graphic Designer Than Debbie Contest."

Dear Readers,

A few posts ago, I wrote about how to get "better-looking text" using Layer Styles. But according to a lot of the comments, I actually made the text look worse!

In honor of the fact that I'm a much better Photoshopper than I am a graphic designer, I hereby announce the Dear Debbie Blog's first contest: The "I'm a Better Graphic Designer Than Debbie Contest."

To win, redesign the Electric Fiction image that I made in my original post. I'll supply the photo, you supply the text. Since the object of this blog is to teach Photoshop, accompany your entry with simple steps explaining how you made it look so good. The best entry gets lots of recognition on the blog and wins a lightning fast SanDisk Extreme FireWire Reader.

Here's the original pic. Click on the thumbnail to get the big guy, then download it and get to work adding the text "Electric Fiction" in any way you like. The catch? You have to explain your steps in a simple way that can teach other Dear Debbie readers how to make their text look better. Allthough this looks like a very easy and fun contest I have no use for a CF firewire drive since my Nikon uses SD memory, is there an option for the card reader?
